This dramatic holiday house sits on the edge of a valley just north of Margaret River and was designed for an artist and her husband. With colour a major focus in her work, the decision to make a bold statement was fully supported.
Sunlight was controlled via shaded windows that ‘pop’ out from the walls but still provide views and cosy seating spots in which to read or lay down. Taking advantage of the beautiful views, a roof top terrace was designed for entertaining & sleeping outdoors under the sky. The relaxed feeling of the house was achieved through non-standard materials & smaller spaces that create an intimacy not experienced in their city house.
